Just before the craziness of the Summer Holidays I had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Poppy along with her Mummy, Daddy and very proud Big Sister for a family newborn shoot close to Tenterden. I was actually due to do a maternity shoot with Amy and her family but on the day Amy wasn’t feeling well so we postponed it and not long after Poppy made her appearance, so we had a newborn session instead.
We had an in-home newborn session which I really enjoyed. Whilst it can be daunting to walk into someone’s home and not know what the lighting situation is like, I think it’s so much more personal because you are also capturing the home they brought their new bundle to.
We started off in Poppy’s nursery whilst she was having a little nap, had cuddles in Sienna’s bedroom and then finally finished with some family portraits in her parents bedroom. Amy’s sister was visiting at the time so it meant I managed to capture her with both her nieces which was lovely.
It was such an honour to capture this family as they started their new adventure as a family of four. Here are my favourite images of the session, I hope you enjoy them.
