So March has been an eventful month for us as a family. After waiting for over 2 days, our little boy Joshua made a rather dramatic entrance into this world by emergency C-Section, in the early hours of a March Saturday morning!! We didn’t find out what we were having this time either so it was a lovely surprise to have a bouncing baby boy which means we have one of each which is wonderful.
Unfortunately the first 10 days of his life weren’t the easiest and we found ourselves back in hospital on the Children’s Ward after only being home for one day. Thankfully it wasn’t anything long term and now he’s back at home with us where he should be. Isabella loves being a big sister and we love having this little bundle with us (despite the sleep deprivation!!).
I can’t wait to see how he changes over the next few weeks and months and how Isabella’s and Joshua’s relationship will develop.
I wasn’t able to get many photos of him in the first week or so, what with being in hospital and me recovering from the C-Section but here are a few photos I managed to take of him when he was 12 days old. I just love how he is still in that curled up stage and how small he looks.
Welcome to our family Joshua, we love you!
